So, I’ve been off the radar for the past two and a half weeks. I hate that. It isn’t like this blog has a huge following or anything like that…it certainly doesn’t. But, blogging is something that I enjoy doing, and when I don’t do it for a while, it is hard to get back to it. So, here I am. Two and a half weeks - and what readers I might have had have probably left. Oh well. Like I said, I enjoy it.

What have I missed? A lot of stuff.

Rick Warren, American Mega-Church Pastor and Evangelical icon, met with pro-terrorist Syrian Dictator Bashar al-Assad. Not everyone was happy. Read more here, Bryan at Hot Air has some great comments. My question: Why do American religious icons think that they should insert themselves into foreign policy, especially with regimes with which we do not deal as Americans, and which persecute fully Christians? I have no idea.

Even more on the Warren thing at The Jawa Report.

In other religious news, Jedi Knights are demanding recognition in Britain. It is, after all the fourth largest belief system in the country.

A religious group in Toronto, that happens to have the same name as the church where I work in Mississauga, has published a book being promoted by Wal-Mart as “stuff teens need to know,” which refers to God as a “fat black dyke,” and emphasizes the importance of teen girls experimenting with lesbian sex. Nice.

Related, the Liberal Party in Canada is enacting a policy resolution seeking to legalize anal intercourse with 14 year olds. Nice. Why not just remove the age of consent completely?

Speaking of intercourse, in Wisconsin, a man caught having sex with a deer carcas is claiming that since the animal was dead, he can’t be charged with having sex with an animal. Double nice.

Oh, there is more important stuff going on in the world. But that is why there are other sites to read.

The Dora Aquapet is the perfect gift to go along with the Pole Dancing kit, discussed here previously:

Who designed this toy?

Keep your domain name registration up to date. That is what a church in Dover, NH learned after switching hosting companies, and having some problem with the name transfer... just after printing and handing out flyers with the church’s website printed on them. The name was scooped up by a porn site. Nice way to greet all those target members whose houses you just left flyers on! The pastor notes: “It will be interesting to see who shows up to church now.” Indeed.

In not so new news (as in, becomming run of the mill), a Christian church in Switzerland has been desecrated (read: feces), by youths, of which none are Christian (maybe, could it be, possibly, Muslim?).

Christian convert from Islam murdered, Islamic officials in the West still insist on no death penalty for “apostacy” in Islam.
And, in Pakistan, a Drunken Mob Vandalizes a Church.

In further mundane news stories, Iran calls on Muslims to destroy Israel.

In positive news, a Florida man says that two New Testaments in his shirt pocket stopped a bullet, saving his life.

That should do things for now. I will try to get to some more stuff this afternoon. I have a couple of things that are just begging to be blogged.

I like the Dora aquapet myself. But don’t even think about getting that for my girls.

Ok, let me clarify. I don’t really like this thing. My last comment just looks wrong. I’m not sure what I meant?

*laughing hysterically*

at Buck.

Something to say?
